King of the Hill - Grady's in Anderson and Port-Tronics in Greenville both have a good selection. As far as the skirt goes - it is really up to the individual. Some people swear by leaving them as long as they are and some people want them trimmed a bit. The good thing is it works for both.

greg,
do you make your jigs in heavier sizes than 1/2 oz., like 5/8 or 3/4 for fishing deeper water. also do u make any football jigs with the living rubber skirts on them. if so i would like to buy some. if you could tell me where to buy them or if i could just order some from you that would be helpful. thank you for your time and i hope you can help me out.

I do make a 3/4oz. and can make them bigger. I do not think any of the businesses locally are carrying this size. These are usually special ordered. In my opinion, the 3/4 is heavy enough to fish up to 40 feet deep.
I do not make any football jigs. I have tied skirts on the heads for people but that is it.

Watching that fish nail that jig was wild. We saw two bass swimming down the shoreline. Threw plastics at the biggest, spinnerbaits, sluggos and anything imaginable. He would just turn his back to it everytime. I threw that jig about 10-15 feet in front of him, he turned and looked at it. I hopped it one time and he nailed it from about 10 feet away. I thought I had almost set the hook too early, the excitement. He was a nice one. Of course, I didn't have my camera or my scales (battery went dead in them and haven't been somewhere to get one).

greg,
i want to order some of your 3/4oz jigs. please tell me how to do it. also if i bought some football jigheads could i send them to you and have you tie a living rubber skirt on them for me. if so, just tell me where to send them and how much money to send. thank you for your time and i hope you can help me out.
