Hi, I am looking at buying a boat that has a 2005 Evinrude 200 DFI, that has had a replaced powerhead. The seller claims that the engine wouldn't start while in the down position. It was almost like hydro locking.? Says the shop couldn't figure out why either so they had a new powerhead put on the engine under warranty and claims its like brand new.

This was after he had previous mechanical problems with the Evinrude 150's that came on the 2004 Sea Pro boat from the dealer. Should I be very concerned about the new powerhead on the 05 Evinrude 200? Or do you think it will be just fine with the transferrable warranty? Appreciate any feedback. Seve
