Fishing is really tough right now on Old Hickory and getting tougher. Low bag weights coming in at TX's all over the lake. SMBCBT took about 11 pounds and that was with a 70 boat field. Only took 9 pounds to win the Bull Creek Tuesday morning TX but did have an empressive 7.30 pounder weighed in on it. Wednesday nighter was won out of Bull Creek with 7 pounds and a 30 boat field. We fished one last night and we won it and had big fish and had the only bag in double digits with 11.80 and had a 4.80 kicker fish. Didn't have but 4 fish but that was all it took. Less boats are showing up to fish the TX's right now because the fish ain't biting.
J.Percy Priest Reservoir has been producing some largeer bags at night on those TX's. That lake has finally come back from an all time low over the past 5 or 6 years. It got where no one was fishing the lake because it got to where you could not catch a keeper fish so about 80% of that lakes anglers began fishing Old Hickory about 7 years ago and now Old Hickory has got the old Priest delima of way to much pressure. I hope it balances out and a few more folks begin going back to Priest. The lakes are only about 10 miles apart. Looking forward to Fall now...
