Got on the water and made first cast at 6:15 AM Very cold morning for Man and Fish. Caught several short Smallies on tubes and Small 1/4 Oz jig-n-pig fished hard for 6 hours before first keeper was in the boat an hour later came second keeper but was not enough to even weigh in. Other folks found big fish.... Had two over 6 come in. 6.20 and 6.45 took big fish honors. One of my other partners had the prettiest limit of 2.5 pound Spots I have ever seen. I don't mean size wise only. I mean these were some of the best marked up pattern wise fish I have ever seen and he took all of them in 25 foot of water on Drop Shot off one place. My partner and I moved around more today than I think we ever have trying to locate so large fish. We caught probably 30 short fish. All in all a great day on the water anyway.Good luck to yall on Day after T day Tx.

thanks Ice, Yea I have thawed out but I know my Baitcasters don't like cold weather at all.....lol. They would not throw but about 15 yards until the sun got up good and warmed them up.... I don't own no spinny poles so just have to struggle through the cold weather with short casts till the sun gets out....... If the sun ain't gonna come out I ain't going fishin anyhow this time of the year.......
