It was a good day fishing yesterday in the bright sunshine but a bit
hot at 78F. We hit the water at about 11:30 in the morning. Still
morning! I caught the first 2 fish on a chartruse/white spinner bait and lost another.
2lbs each-- We fished for a few more hours and caught another on a
worm in deeper water.
About 3pm we moved to the Baptist Canal.. and we eventually caught
another 10 or so fish up to 4 lbs. Over the day we probably missed
another 10 or more fish. I was using a red/black baby craw with a
3/4oz weight while David used a white sweet beaver look alike. We
kind lost track but the total was 12 or 13 in the boat.. another 10+
lost in the water or by the boat but NOT across the threshold of the
boat. About 4:45 someone turned off the bite switch and the action just quit... that simple. We attempted to jump start them but to no avail.


Don't know if the lights work on the OLD boat so about 5pm we had to
head out across the lake to get off the water by dark.


Motor and lower unit worked great after minor fixin. The tilt n trim
has a small leak and will get fixed in early March when Jan my cousin
from NORTHERN MINNESOTA is here. She and Bob are down in Melbourne
now trying to thaw out.


Its going to rain about noon and then pass over by 6pm. The folks
here are gonna freeze tonight... 37F by morning. Back to fishing by
the weekend.

We are going to head out now and get my hair cut and hit a movie this afternnon and escape the incoming storm.

Sonny's for ribs tonight at 6pm.. Back fishing Sunday after it warms up some.

Its cold now so we went to the Kennedy Space Center today... Now that's a neat place.
