Took Mrs C57 to L. Eustis on Monday.... thought WE could catch a crappie or tilapia ... It was one of them days... wife caught em all.. I watched and hoisted the anchors in and out.. Pulled out about 2pm... 69 f water... I normall find the tilapil on the N shore... but was too windy so we fished the S shore... no white caps there.

Tues I went bass fishing by myself...L. Yale... saw my first gator in 5 trips.. 8ft or so.. we went down the bank parallel for 1/2 mile or so... he on the outside...and off the boat 100-150 ft.. Also saw my first 2 bald eagles... a few osprey.. 500 white pelicans, lots of a few other kinds of shore birds that I can't identify..

Fishing however wasn't so good... if it were not for the mudfish it would have been poor... they hit plastic just like a bass and have some nice teeth. DON'T LIP EM..

I caught one that I actually sited ON a bass bed looking thing.... threw it to the mud fish and bang it hit... 5lb or so.. got another one off a dock flipping in the worm...

NO basses for C57

Post spawn fishes is tough for me.. Every so often I could hear something splashing up near the shore... but I saw dozens and dozens of gar swimming near the shore..

by 10 am I noted my arm was hurting... I must of missed a spot with the suntan cream... so I recoated her... now its red...Water temps 71... air temps 80+

No fishing today... got chores to do. R and R wind lake advisories for this pm...

Thanks Mike. Now I will get where I AM SUPPOSED TO BE. Can't decide to stay in this afternoon and watch the FL gators play basketball (go gators) or go fishing..

Guess we will just have to see what happens today... 78 F this pm..
