For me fishing hasn't really been good this spring. Lots of cold waves after more cold waves and then more again. About a week ago spring came followed the next day by Summer. I went out on the 1st into Yale about 10 am and fished until 4pm and caught 9 bass I think the largest about 2 lbs. A good day... About 4 the black clouds with suspected tornadoes and thunderstoms came up so I pulled out... another false alarm.. NO NOTHING...Water temp 72F
I went out today on the 3rd about noon and put the trolling motor down and fished a little hump I found in the canal. I caught two in the first 20 minutes or so and was motoring over to another spot when stgeel on the trolling motor broke... I guess the OLD minner kotter gave up again... I guess this is about the 6th time I have replaced it.. Water temp back down to 67.6 air temps high fifties all day..
Think I am gonna just throw it in the big ole trash pile... and get me one without cables... They make some now 12 volt with 56 lbs of thrust... think I will give that a try..
Any ideas on a good one ... or a bad one...
On Feb 28th took the wife to the DEAD River a chunk of water between Eustis and Harris... crappie fishing.. did well... wife happy.. everyone happy... caught 3 big muddies... nasty bittie looking fishes...

No I am afraid I will have to hit the road for the Carolinas the first of April. The wife misses the grandkids.
I don't know if you know it but May is the hottest and driest month of the yearll.
