She was just under 6 pounds. Best fish ive got out of russell but I didnt have the heart to kill her and when I caught her I didnt have a camera or anything so I had to bring her home and took some pics and relocated her to my pond figuring she wouldnt make the ride back in the live whale. These size fish are hard to come by in russell atleast for me im hoping 1 day to get 1 8lbs or more and ill have to put that one on the wall. This fish was caught sunday before memorial day in the vans creek area. It was actually the last decent day ive had the water temp has been rising and the bite slowing i caught 4 small ones that day and the big one in between 4pm and 7pm.
