Every weigh in I did for the past 9 years I always set up 1 sink and everybody dumped their bass in...the fish jump and I get finned plus this has got to be bad on the bass...

Here's what I've done this year and it works great...

I set up 2 sinks...1 with stopper to keep water in...I put my basket in the other or sometimes fill it up with water also...once the bass are dumped in the water they just sit there..no jumping and they're in water the whole time. I've only has 3 jump out of the sink and I usually drop that many anyway...I've watched FLW weigh ins and noticed how calm the bass are in the water so I tried this and it works...

I see club after club just weighing fish in dry bags and I just don't understand that...especially this time of year.

Now that sounds like a great plan Catt and I agree with it 100%. I have watched those Bassmaster guys holding fish up and shaking them around until it makes me sick. They will shake them at the camera in the boat with them and then shake them again and parade around the platform for the crowd with them and then wonder why bass populations are dwindling in every lake in the country. People are still not taking care of the Bass. I have had this discussion hundreds of times with anglers back before I gave up my tournament to a buddy of mine to operate on Old Hickory and a few guys thought they would see rule changes but my buddy never changed anything. You still cannot weigh in a dead fish in it or you will get disqualified for the day. We also cut back to a 3 fish creel from a 5 fish creel. That made it more fair on the single angler boats plus less fish in livewells in hot summer time. Keeping fish in water is a great idea and I applaud you for it........
