I don't know about the fishing line trick but, I did hook a friend several years ago on keowee and since we were both drunk and drifting I just trolled over to another boat borrowed a pair of end cutters held his skin down on the side of his head and used a pair of pliers to "turn" the treble hook to push it through the other side and used the end cutters to snip the hook and then just pushed it back out. worked great till he had to go to the hospital later since he didn't have a tetnis shot. Oh yeah, a bill norman DD22 will hook a person in the head everytime if you are to close on the boat. Haha.
