I have not bought into the Vietnam correlation at all but the end game is going to be just the same. When the local liberal folks here in the USA force us out of Iraq then the results will be the same. Iran will control Iraq within 12 months of our troops leaving and that going to be soon.

Yea Flippin, the Yemen leader said he would take them and turn them loose and not put them on trial because the leader of that country is at the same level in the Terrorist leadership as the leader of Iran. Coontie, you are hitting the ball right on the bat just perfect. I can't blame the American people for wanting our troops at home though because they know we should not be in Iraq in the first place. Bush and Chenney made that their own personal war with a venedeta from his Fathers failure to finish the job he started back in 1990. That war became a political war over money and power and Chenny got rich in the process. I was all in favor of the invasion of Afganistan but was dissappointed in the rest of the UN when they failed to assist in building an allied force to invade Afganistan like they did in 1990 to free Kuwait. I think the attack on America on 9/11 was an attack on the entire free world. There were people from many different countries that died in those towers that day yet very few stepped up. As far as the escalating of the Iraq war every time we attempt to pull our troops back. That has become a trend designed to keep American forces in the region longer so they will have more opportunities to kill more Americans. I feel regardless of how long we remain in Iraq when ever we leave the out come is still going to be the same so we should leave now and let the inevitable take place. If they want to remain free let them fight for it. Come back home and re group and begin building a standing Military and brace our country for any future attacks. Begin screening our borders with an iron fist like Russia does and tell the world that America will not tolerate any aggression what so ever against any American soil and if any country does violate our country they will be destroyed. Totally destroyed , wiped off the face of the Earth. Our elected officials need to remain out of the loop when it comes to military statis. We shall not fight any more political wars. We will fight wars of aggression on our homeland only. We will not fight to protect or force our beliefs on any nation. Every country on Earth knows what freedom is and what it means. Let them fight for their own just as we have for Centuries. Time to quit sticking our nose in other peoples business. Russia has once again became a power player in Europe. Let Russia deal with it since it is their neighbors. If they want to allow a coutry such as Iran have Nukes right next door to the that is their problem. Russia knows what terrorists are capable of since they took that school and many Russian children were killed. If we are going to form a alliance with any countries it should be Russia and China since they are the two super powers in that region of Europe and Southern Asia. I'm sure many will disagree with that but if you stop to think about it either one of those countries are capable of overthrowing any nation in their region. Let them deal with problems there and we will deal with problems here. Another major problem we have right here at home is Sleeper terrorits cells located all over this country. We need to concentrate our efforts on finding them and taking them out before they have time to strike our homeland. As far as President Obama goes, he is either with us or against us. Time to find out where his heart really is. Guantanimo will be the first test on his feelings about America. His decision on that will tell all Americans alot. Now with all of that said you know this country is strong in the form of humanity. Humanity is a good thing but it has it's limits. Sometimes it can be a sign of weakness. We need to put our country's safety first and humanity down the ladder a few steps.
