Has everyone been listening to or maybe even using the cash for clunkers deal? The government will pay a person to trade in a clunker for a new car. So many people have used this and it is so successful they ran out of the billion dollars they had and now they came up with 2 billion more to fund it. The government is all excited that this program has exceeded it's wildest expectations. The thing nobody seems to be mentioning is, who is using this and who will pay for it? I have a clunker, a 1989 GMC Jimmy S15 4X4 that I bought new. However I can't afford to trade it in because I already have a truck payment for the new truck I bought 2 yrs ago. Nobody is helping me pay for it. But my tax dollars will be paying part of the 3 billion being spent to put others in new cars. Heck my grand son Slade just turned 1 yr old and he'll be paying for it when he gets a job in 20 yrs. And is this money going to only American owned auto companies which are the ones who have gone bankrupt? Heck no, it goes to any auto company even the ones foreighn owned so they can continue to grow and prosper further enriching the countries we are already spending our tax dollars to support and protect and for the most part who refuse to help us fight our enemies. I have no idea how any middleclass American can think this is a good deal or call it successful. Who is benifiting from this? Not me. Why doesn't the government start a Cash for old boats program. Give us 4500. for old boats since the boating industry is in bad shape. Then I could get some money for my old boat so I could get a new one. Oh wait, I got no money for a boat payment either, still paying for that truck I had to buy with no help.

Hi Joe, As a President once said, Quote" I feel your pain". Well I do. I'm in pretty much the same shape. I amd riving a 1990 GMC truck with 260,000 miles on it and can't get financed because I am on disability and don't have a job. They say my income does not qualify. My income might qualify if they would give us what we should be getting in Social Security Benefits and quit giving it all away to Illegal Immigrants. Oh well, I'm not going to let it get to me. My old truck runs, pulls the boat and goes the the Grocery and Doctor so thats what counts. I would worry about havinga truck note anyway cause you never know with this Government when they might decide to cut the Social Security benefits to give more to the anchor Babies. For a President that came into office promising no raise in Taxes, he has proven that to be more lies more time than any other President in history for his first 6 months in office. Oh well, Just Another Day in Paradise.

NO $8,000.00 for new home cause already have one that can't refinance for lower interest, because NO JOB!

NO $3,500 to $4,500 for Clunker, cause NO JOB!

NO HEALTH INSURANCE, cause NO JOB!

Then you have other people coming into town from other places, taking Jobs.

Plus you have the Mexicans coming taking Jobs!

Then you have some Governor from NEW YORK, giving free bus tickets to the Homelesss, sending them down here.

BOY WE IS LIVING THE GOOD LIFE AND KICKING BACK AT THE BIG HOUSE A DRINKING FEW COOL ONES.

JUST GREAT, FOR THE ONES THAT CAN AFFORD IT AND FOR THE FIRST TIMERS.
