It's only a gambling problem if you lose

there is nothing that will stop teenagers from drinking if they want to drink... NOTHING...if the law was 35 years old... 18 year olds will still drink.... its just too easy to get......im 20, have a full time job, live on my own and am old enough to be married with 3 kids... and i cant go to the store and buy a 6 pack after a hard days work? somethings wrong there....and the arguement about an 18 year old driving drunk.... think about this... how many more people would drink if it was legal at 18 rather than 21? maybe 10% more would drink because it was legal... BUT since its 21...20% of underage drinkers now drink WAY too much at a time.. because they cant get it anytime they want to they think they have to drink it all when they get it... its just a bs law to me...... IMHO

i agree there DDS, it being illegal stops very few underage ppl from drinking. never stopped anyone i knew...

and like someone mentioned earlier, if you are old/responsible enough to lay down your life for the country, then you are old/responsible enough to drink a beer or twelve.

Well, the drinking age in Illinois where I grew up has been 21 for ever and I am not proud of it but I drank more at 16 than I did at 21. I guess that is because I was in my second tour of duty in Nam at age 21 and didn't have a lot of drinking time with my assignment over there.
