He did the right thing, I'd do the same. If they charge this guy he may be in a whole world of hurt even thought its Texas. Unless his lawyer is good at picking a jury

The really important case to watch is the Supreme Court case comming up regarding the DC hand gun ownership issue DC may become a gun owner flight city if its upheld. With a conservative court it may not be uoheld but if it goes 5/4 and then if a Democrat gets elected Pres. they will have the opportunity to perhaps appoint up to 3 new judges and there goes your "Right to Bear Arms". JMHO

Well I think the guy deserves a metal for Bravery and a pararde is his honor down main street and maybe even a street in the town named after him. Now given consideration to the fact that as long as that 911 call took the damn cops damn sure were not is any hurry to get on the scene and do their job so he did it for them. It is much easier arresting a 61 year old man than it is to young buck Mexican felons that might have hurt one of the cops. You can bet we don't have that law here saying we can protect our property and we have to have them in the house with us before we can shoot their ass but you can bet I will take my chances up in front of a jury cause if they even try to get in my house with me here their going down and going down permanently. They won't need a trial , they will need a coronor. As far as the Gun Bill they are trying to pass in DC. It will never get the vote needed. the NRA has got involved in it now and the lobbyists are already working wide open to get the bill killed. They passed a similar in NewYork City and for every gun some turned in they put three more back in the closet all over the city and they found out right quick that they would not be able to enforce the law. I don't even think they are still enforcing it in New York any more. I don't know when our Government is ever going to realize that the American people are never and will never give up their guns. I have always believed like Charlton Heston did. They will get my gun when they remove it from my cold dead clammy hand and not before.
