Put in at Lake Springs...wt's 86-88 fished mouths/pockets with a breeze...some schooling fish...tough bite. caught about 8 or 9..only 3 keepers. Flukes & Spooks.
Must be down about 13+' but lake springs ramp was fine.

Good to hear from you PM. Catch a few for me. Lakes here are dropping rapidly also. I drove back from the mountains today and I saw the bottom of some creek beds with full stands of fescue 12 inches high. I don't recall it being this dry before.

Lake Springs is good until 308.7 according to the Corps site.

Only the Leathersville Ramp is lower at 306.3. Where ever that is...

The lake is as low as I have ever seen it. I saw that someone marked a big tree peeking out of the water smack in the middle of the channel in the little river SC side right after the first hard right turn from the main lake. the tops of a lot of the old trees that had the tops cut off them are starting to make their way to the surface. I have been catching a few fish every time out but nothing to brag about. I did have one around 5 pounds with no tail fins on it, pretty beat up, last week on a shakey head. I have caught a few schooling in random places, caught a few deep off ledges, a few shallow in coves, and on shallow points, and also on deep points. How is that for a solid pattern? Can't seem to figure out a pattern in this HOT water.

The WBT will be on Clarks Hill on the 19th, 20th and 21st of September. For those of you that don't follow the tour that is the Lady Bassmasters. They fished Old Hickory lake in June and I'm telling you those ladies can fish and fish well. You might want to go to their weign in. You might be surprised at how well they can catch bass. I don't know where they will be launching but you can probably find out by visiting the Bassmasters web site.
