...to Clarks Hill. I have a BWS tournament down there the first weekend in March. Just curious as to what I can expect. I know that lake is famous for some big bags of fish and I would imagine early March would be an awesome time of year to fill your livewell with some lunkers. Is it like Russell(I've fished Russell before) and chock full of spots or is it dominated by LM's or is it a fairly even split? A lot of grass or void of grass? Just looking for some general handle on the lake. Thanks in advance.

Tons of grass,,,grass where there's never been grass......grass about all over the place. Not sure what weather to expect between now and the 1st week of march....

lake has been pulling good sacks... we'll see how long those fish handle getting beat up.

Mainly LM. I haven't caught a spot on the Hill.

The lake is a largemouth lake but I have caught one spot way up by the Russell dam but it was a dink that must of snuck in. March can be pretty good on the Hill.

Best advice I can give you for the hill is stay home and get drunk.... ha ha
anyways early march is hard to say, the grass is everywhere so it is hard to break down, humps are starting to get good this time and so are the shallow pre spawn bass, generally a jerkbait is awesome for this time of the year fished around the grass in the lower part of the lake. also the ol flukie fluke is good with a dyed tail. good luck
