i caught a red eye bass lastnight at the hill.. this is the first one that i have ever caught in the lake.. has anyone else caught one at the lake?? i was pretty shocked when i caught it.. i didnt realize that they were in there. i didnt have me camera so i didnt get a pic of it but it looked like this.. only the one that i caught was 1.8 lbs

King - recently saw an article somewhere about red eyes on the savannah - I'm trying to find it. I had one that I suspected was a red eye about a year ago. Real small and I'm not real familiar with them. Came out of church cove. Sure had a red eye... that much I know.

Jerk - 11.5# won BFL with 7# getting a check. What's that tell you?

this one didnt have a red eye but it did have the orange fins and all like the one in that pic.. they said that fish was a red eye but it didnt have a red eye either..

Found the article. It's in this month's South Carolina Sportsman. It's towards the front on it;s own page. Talks about them being threatened and native on in SC on the Sav River chain.
