Got a late start this morning. Couldn't decide if I wanted to go to Clarks Hill, Russell, or Murray .... all while watching the Weather Channel to try and figure out where is wasn't going to rain. Ran into a fellow SCLake'er ... SR-5 ..... nice meeting you today..... while putting the boat in and getting to talk to you afterwards as well.
Started in a Ck near the ramp, put a pair of 12"ers in the boat real quick on TR. Deciding that I was tired of catching dinks the last 3 trips to the Hill, so I got my 'JoJo-MoJo' on and swang for the fence for quality bites ...... I also moved to get out of the coves full of all the other ABA-prefishers that are beating the bank to a froth.
Fished long and hard the rest of the day for no deep bites on a CR or a jig. Headed back to the ramp before the rain started only to fish one last spot with a CB and put a pair of 1.5lb - 1.75lb fish in the boat. Needing to get home I didn't try any other spots with my new found pattern.
It was a good day. Lots of bass boat traffic. I got to run the new Skeeter a good bit today .... I'm liking this boat more and more everytime I take it out. Will be glad when all these PRO's get done with their tournaments so maybe people will start posting fishing reports again
........... lots of tight lips and sad frowns seen today.
