lake is starting to turn over up near my house around 378. It is getting that tanic color to it. Hopefully fishing will pick up in the near future.

Phoneman, yep that was the best bite of the day at Hardees. Hey you did good if yall had 5 fish and they weighed around 7 plus pounds. If you have that same weight on Saturday I would feel confident you will be in the money. Looks like we will be trying to catch some of them striped fish, if they stay where found some. Plus I think the boat that had the winning weight in the tournament we watched was fishing in that same location.

There at one time we thought they were having a Bug Boat Owner Tournament down there, every place you went you needed Bug Repellent.

How many Tournaments are going out of Dorn this weekend, besides the John De La Howe Kids tournament?

I agree about things being tough ...... the 3 big Tx's, water flipping, weather changing all have made it tough.

I figure if I have to, I'll take my 'de la Howe partner' from dam to dam and let them enjoy the boat ride ........ heck we won't burn 10 gallons of gas doing it and fishing along the way :thumbs_up:

I'm just glad we're not on Keep-away ........ 7lbs with 5 fish is a GREAT day there :roll:

Since YOU brought up YOUR tournament trail ......... go check out the Clarks Hill division, nothing but 18-21lb sacks to win (except for 1 in June). Keowee was similar, but the weights fail off very quickly and typically lighter all the way around.
