Well,,,,,,Its hot, really hot, so hot I am delirious and I thought I would give my candid July report on the hill. First of all, I would like to state that I live on Clark Hill, the worst lake to fish in the country in July, and despite my lack of quality fish to show for it, I truly believe I am fishing at a level that most of you can't even comprehend. I am eliminating unproductive water at an astounding rate of efficiency so I must be good right?
My ability to catch short fish with an occasional keeper before 10am is reaching legendary status in my own mind for July 2010. However let me offer this glimpse of hope,,,, I took the kids out swimming today around lunch and low and behold we saw schooling fish.
We boated a bunch of all short schooling fish and had a blast. First schooling I have seen since May. but,,,,The Hill still SUCKS in July! If you are planning on coming here to fish, go somewhere else. Trust me, I know how bad this place sucks and will not mislead you by telling you about all the 20 to 30 pound sacks that are caught in the spring and fall
WHERE DO THE QUALITY FISH GO IN JULY? DOES ANYONE KNOW? I am guessing they are suspended deep somewhere, just not where I have been searching, eating all the bait they care to eat with no desire to hit a lure. Any other ideas?
