Monday---had 4 with only 2 keepers, sammie and c-rig, lower lake, water temp cooler( 79/ 80) and crystal clear,------bunch of green slime, hard to fish the c-rig----anyway, I quit at noon, to meet the wife in Greenwood for lunch and "Smokie Bear" got me going through Abbeville(down that long hill on Hwy. 72) doing 65mph in a 45mph zone ----------speeding tickets is $180 now WOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today----went back to Hickory Knob and fished the same as last week and caught 15 with 7 keepers--------c-rig and floating worm,------did catch one on a Bass10, jig,( the one you put on my windshield Bob) -------can't catch a fish over 2lbs. to save my neck-------and these fish were caught from 8 to 25 ft. deep the weather was cooler and the water temp was 76/81 for most of the day-----mid to upper lake -------clear/dingy toward the backs of the necks ------we got our Solutia TX next Tuesday, and if 7 or 8 lbs., will win, I may have a chance --------Monk

Good job, good report! That jig bite is heating up! Thanks for the plug. I've been following the big boys Tx results over the past few weeks, and it seems that most of the "Pros" are relying on a jig to put fish in the boat. "Don't leave home without one tied on". Later.
