it could be that most of the bass hitting your fluke are to small to get it in their mouth completely. i know clark hill is famous for 12" bass.

i couldnt get hit on anything much at all. I figured out how to catch some of the little ones though, all on clay/rock points on the elbows almost on the bank. shaky head with green pumpkin green trick worm. caught 3 for 5.67 on saturday and 4 for 3.99 on sunday, believe i finished 4th or 5th in the TBF. caught around 15 bass over the 2 days as well as 7 hybrids, man those things can pull! LOL! I believe that the fella that won it had like 20lbs over the 2 days and also caught his on a shaky head.....

Hey king what size and style hook are you useing and do you leave it exposed or do you bury it ? sometimes i will drop down to the fluke jr.i if i lose a couple on the super fluke but i always leave the hook exposed on the flat part of the back and most of em kinda hook themselves with a little help from me I use a 3/0 owner widegap offset worm hook and 14 or 15 lb line on the super same line and a 2/0 for the jr.

It's your hook...... The best hook for flukes is an Eagle Claw 5/0 worm hook that is no loner being made. They aer longer and have a wider gap than any 5/0 you can find on the racks these days. I will always stop by an old tackel store and check to see if they have any left and buy everyone they have. Last year i bought 9 packs from Pair of Jacks over on the GA. side of Clarks Hill. Have not ran across any since that time. for comparision, if a Zoom Super Fluke is 3.5" long this hook is 3" from the eye to the bend in the gap. Thoses may not be exact but it gives you an idea about of what i'm talking about...........
