Does anyone know what the SMOT's (Saturday open teams) start?

SMOT is going on now. Right now it's out of Lake Springs since Wildwood is dry. I think they blast off right before 7.

Took 16+ lbs to win it weekend before last.

Cool. I might try to make it tomorrow. It's still every Saturday right? Do you know when the tournaments stop or is it year round? 16lbs...that seems tough to beat.

See my report from the 12th... "15 or 16# won the SMOT, 15 or 16 won another club and 10 won a third club. All were out of Lake Springs about the same time for weigh in. Heard flukes, crankbaits, jerkbaits, worms, tackleboxes, etc caught them. Saw two 6#ers."

There were A LOT of fish being caught that day. I think 2nd place in the SMOT that day was only like 1lb behind. I could be wrong though. Remembering two weeks ago isn't the easiest.

Next: Saturday out of Wildwood Park. The tournament's Classic will be held on Feb. 16. Entry fee is $33 per team, $30 for individuals. Each team member must fish at least five tournaments to qualify for the Classic entry fee of $50. Non-qualifiers must pay a $500 entry fee. The big fish must be 61/2 pounds or larger. ok thanks for the information. looks like there may be some light ice in the area so i'm not gonna risk it. i will catch back up next weekend

i usually check the aiken standard because they will also list some club tournaments. most in the sunday paper though.
