The lake is not going down any faster. They are running the same amount of water required, they have been running for years. That is one reason you can't catch the fish like you once did behind the dam. NO RAIN! Plus you have more houses using the water from the lake to water their grass. I wonder how much they are going to like the green grass when they have no more water. All the drinking water comes from the lake also. Plus you have 2 Golf Courses on the Lake that are not going to have Brown Grass. Anybody with one of them High Dollar homes that think they need to have the green grass year round has a pump and timer set up to run, run, run.
The 1 cent tax hike money is also going for a new Reading Book Store and they have started work on it. The "Dam" money I don't think will be there until the end of 2009, so look for the "Dam" work to start around the end of next year.
Show up at the next Greenwood County Coucil meeting, drill their A$$es on some of this stuff and see if they can make it rain they think they can do any thing else.
Butt if you think about it and look back at any of the conditions you can blame it on that Government started program they call it the FERC ( I Think!). Big Brother at it's best, all counties that have a lake have to send them so much money each year and they do a study and tell the county how they should manage their lake.
