5, it was a slow bite but they were all good chunks, best was around 4 1/2. :mrgreen:

i tossed him back, as good as he fought i wouldnt mind catchin another one. dang things are hard to hold onto and they got a mouth full of teeth.

south carolina holds the world record bowfin. a little over 25 pounds.

Hi sure its a fun catch, hope these bowfins are not dangerous to native fish like the snakehead fish are they, just wondering, thanks.

well according to the website i looked at on them, they have been around for 150 million years and are natural to rivers all over the south. so if they aint took over by now, i dont think they are going too.

well according to serveral people ive talked to ..we need to kill them .... the are very aggresive and are harmful to other fish...a k a largemouth bass for one.

Don't worry about the Bowfin, worry about what Columbia has in mind. :mrgreen:

Rumor has it they are talking about placing a size limit on Large Mouth Bass in Greenwood to 14", where at this time we have no size limit. :shock:

Plus talking about cutting the limit on Crappie. :shock:

So if you get checked you better start talking and asking questions. :thumbs_up:

If you let Columbia make the Law and set the limit it want be good. :roll:
