Those ugly rascals must be a breedin' like rabbits. It's gettin to where we are a'catchin em every trip just about. 'Specially in the river. Sometimes 2 or 3 of em. And some big ones too. I'd like to catch one that weighed 25#'s though. Wonder who lipped him? And how he's making out with that new prosthetic arm?

Looks like these bowfins are getting to be regulars around the upstate, looking at the web they seem to be more prevalent towards lower part of state. Some people fish for them only, for their fighting nature, even have recipes for them. Google bowfin anglers group, interesting reading. cya.
