Well looks like the Lake Managements has done it again. The word out on the street is that they bought 3500 grass carp and had The WILDLIFE Department release them. They released some at the New Ramp in the Reedy area and the rest at Hwy 34 ramp. They are trying to stop the spread of Hydrilla and others grasses in Lake Greenwood. The swimmers were complaining about the weads around their docks and how it was spreading all over the beautiful lake. It seems like they are more worried about swimming areas and the beautiful lake, than they are what effect these fish will have on the over all wildlife and environment in the lake. They released these in the lake and have not told anyone about it.
THANKS LAKE MANAGEMENT, they posted all kinds of little brown signs all over the lake about not harming the wildlife habitat area and then do some thing like this. What a great waste of Tax Dollars, start the Habitat Areas and then spend money on a fish to remove the stuff you have started.
Just thought I would let yous guys all know that the Hydrilla that you have found on the Lake will not be there long, FISHY FOOD, we will have those Hundred Pound Grass Carp swimming every where like they have at Lake Murray before long.
