I'm heading to Greenwood next weekend to fish Friday and Saturday. I've never fished Greenwood other than in the winter about 2 days a year when I visit friends. Do any of you guys have any tips for fishing Greenwood this time of year? I'm not asking you to give up spots or specific baits or anything of the kind. I'm just looking for a place to start. Feel free to pm or email me if its something you don't want to discuss publicly. I'm more than willing to trade some Greenwood advice for advice on any of the areas I fish like Wateree, Fishing Creek, Santee (home lake), Cooper River, etc. Thanks in advance guys. God Bless.

Lakes up and in good shape, but fish sometimes do not want to cooperate.

Early morning, you may find some top water activity beating the banks, then it is "NAP" time and cool shade, if you don't see any schooling action.

Afternoon you may find some more top water action, before dark or a possible schooler or two, then look for some brush piles or docks at dark to throw one of them BIG DARK soft plastic baits in. Deep water in 15 plus may give you the best chance.

Thanks for the advice. I plan to beat the banks hard with topwater Friday and then see if I can find some deep water to drop a finesse rig into. Hopefully I can find some good brush to go back to Friday night and Saturday. Does anyone know of any open tourneys next weekend? (14th or 15th)

They have a night tx every sat going out of skipper from 7 to 2. i dont know they might be one going out of state park. go big & deep
