Hello,

I'm new on this board and don't know a lot about Lake Greenwood, except it's the closest to where I live.

I have been on the lake only one time. I'd like to find a decent ramp on the north east or north west sides of the lake. To get to Lake Greenwood, I come down Neely Ferry Road from Fountain Inn.

While out that one time, I spotted a good looking concrete ramp (wider than normal and looked fairly new) while heading away from 221/72 bridge. What ramp is that and how is it accessed by road? It may have been a mile or more from the bridge.

If anyone knows of a good ramp in that area, I'd like to check it out. I know about the Shriners ramp and the one I used near the bridge (221/72), but that's all.

Hey David,

Come out Neely Ferry Road, take a right on Hwy 72, and go to the second road on the right. That will be Riverfork road across from the store. It will take you across the railroad tracks. I think the boat ramp will be about 4 or 5 miles on the right. It will beside the bridge and has two ramps and a dock. That is on the Reedy creek side of the lake. "FREE" ramp and closest one to you.

Hope this helps. Good luck and look out for Peanutmans Fish up in that area.

Got a bunch of new water coming in, stuff floating, and some brown water.

That looks like an ideal place to test an I/O on my boat. I've been working on a project boat and need a place to test the transom seal. Won't be looking for fish....

I went down several roads in the area, but not SR-S 30-29 (Riverfork). I knew I could get some help here (this forum).

I went down to check out the public ramp this morning. Had no trouble finding it.

Nice ramp! I like the parking lot layout, the prep area and tiedown area. Well designed facility.

I will be taking my boat to that one.
