Wanted to gauge interest in the Heartland Anglers Trail on Lake Greenwood. For those of you that are unfamiliar with Heartland Anglers Team Trail it is a trail that stretches accross the southeast with different divisions focusing on individual lakes. Currently South Carolina has Lake Russell, Lake Hartwell and Lake Keowee divisions. This division would have 6 tournaments with a team needing to fish atleast 4 within a division to qualify for the "national championship". There will be a $60 per team fee at each tournament plus a $10 big fish fee. It will pay back 90% with 1 in 5 getting a check. There will be a membership fee of $30 with 15 going towards the championship pot and $15 going towards the company to help with adminstrative costs. This year the championship will be held on Lake Chickamauga in Dayton, Tn with the city of Dayton adding 10,000 to the pot at the champion ship. Last year there was over 200 boats and the tournament paid 35 places with the champion getting 13,500 and second place being split at 3,500.
