I'm trying to get an idea of the water level now [79' to 80'] in relation to the last time I was at Jocassee which was July 2006. Can anyone tell me where it was last year?

Well the water may be low but there is still a great time to be had. Got back from the Jo Thursday and I hated to leave, the low water only created more beaches to pull your boat to which made for great family fun [swimming, skiing, snorkeling, etc.]. Also heard from several fishermen that the fishing was great so don't let the low water level scare you off. :smile:

22-24 feet down if i remember correctly. it came back up within 2 weeks after the rememince of hurricanes came through

the dock is still out of the water... ive been up there everyday this week. it'll come up again around the middle part of november and keowee will drop 8 ft until the intake work is done.

I have heard a lot of good reports from the JO..

Jerk baits!!

Schooling 4-5 lb fish..

Also now just the tip of the dock is in the water. Thats how it was back 4-5 years ago. Really good fishing then.. just watch for the underwater HUMPS that are now only inches in the water..
