Good buddy at work just informed us (today) that he is going to buy a boat for striper fishing. I read thru two pages and only sas the one that ChampioNman has. Let me know if there are any others out there.
He wants a center console and doesn't need too much HP. Bait tanks are a plus because of the striper thing. Please send info / pics to me if you have them.

hit up craigslist, just make sure that whatever he finds that he has his local boat service center do an inspection on it.
You have 2 options on it. First they will do purely visual inspection which is usually free and takes less than 20 min to complete. Then find out how much they will charge to check the motor. Get a compression check on the power head, a leak down check on the gear case, and a fuel sample. If its newer then they can plug a pc into it and check all service codes etc. I always check fuel to see what condition its in. If you see any, no matter how small, bubbles of water then you know your draining all the fuel, replacing all the fuel filters and installing a water / fuel separator. (if a shop does all this it can cost you upwards of 600.00) Also figure in a tune up and installing a water pump. Its cheap insurance and at least you know exactly when it was done.

Thanks SCLakes. We've checked craig's list and really didn't find what he's looking for. (but there's so much to see there) Your advise is great and that's the reason I posted on here.
Update to his desires... Doesn't have to be a center console Cost range between $5,000 ~ $10,000
Thanks a lot.
