It's going to be a good weekend to be on Russell. The big girls are ready to move up so the bite should be great. This will be a CLOSED tournament so membership is required. I expect around 40 ~ 45 boats for this event. Maybe more because I had 59 last week on Hartwell and have over 130 members now.

Lake Russell – Calhoun State Park
Saturday, April 4th, 2020 Safe light till 3 pm (I'll start taking entries around 5:30am)
$25 entry fee per boat (team event but you can fish alone)

We will have two side pots...
1. $20 side pot where it's “winner take all” at the end of each tournament
2. SIX POUND pot where it only pays out if someone catches a bass over 6 lbs. The money rolls over to the next tournament if no one does. (Currently at $350 after Hartwell)

No live bait and no trolling
All state and local laws apply

Due to the current situation with the virus I will be making a slight change with this event just like I did on the Hartwell tournament last Saturday.
First off... I am still having the event! But I have to face the fact that some of our members have health risks and do not feel safe in a gathering of 50 or more people. Therefore, I will not have this as a POINTS or PERFECT ATTENDANCE tournament. IE: If you decide to sit this one out... you will not be penalized with an absence.

It will still be a membership only tournament and we will still have the SIX POUND and $20 SIDE POTS. I appreciate everyone's understanding with this very serious issue.
Membership is only $25 per person if you're interested. Send me a quick email if you want info about the club and I'll send you a copy of the 2020 Rules, Schedule, and Membership form.

Due to the COVID19 virus, Calhoun State Park is closing the facilities and the boat ramps until further notice. (forcast to reopen in May) I'll be CANCELLING the upcoming Russell tournament instead of relocating to another ramp just to be save. I'm hoping to be back on the water with you guys when we go to Lake Jocassee on April 18th.

I'll keep you posted. Be safe!
