I threw alot of baits in this tournament but the killer was the black/blue Jig X. I caught one good one on a spinner bait, and a few good ones and a ton of small ones on a crankbait. I think when it came down to what I weighed in that 4 of the 5 came on the Jig X and one from a crank. 16.47 lbs. of spotted bass. "Dead Sea"??? My co-angler partner caught fish on every thing he had. I've never seen someone tie on so many baits in one day.

The fish in my area were not really keying in on any type of cover or structure that I could narrow down, rather they were around big groups of bait. One of the 4lb. spots spit up a big bream right at the boat. Water temp. was in the mid to high 70s. with a strong east wind.
