Lake Wylie is one more lake owned by Duke Energy. This lake impounds the Catawba River on the South Carolina North Carolina border near Rock Hill South Carolina and Charlotte North Carolina. It is about 12,400 acres in size. The strange thing about this lake is the fact that you must have a North Carolina fishing license to fish on the North Carolina side and a South Carolina license to fish the South Carolina side.
