The weigh in talk was that you saw bedding bass anywhere from South Cove to Hwy 11 bridge. Lots of bass caught just flippin or pitchin under docks. My buddy and I caught 10 bass but only had 8 pounds and we caught ours bed fishing and draggin a worm around points. We fished the Mile Creek / Gap Hill area of the lake all day except for one run up to Crowe Creek. Water temp was in the low 60's. We saw beds, with bass, everywhere we went but they weren't locked on.

SC Upstate Fishers of men 2016 season is ready to rock. We have a guaranteed 5k for first for every event, 1.5k for second and 1k for third. Lake Keowee last saturday of Jan. come on out.....

WE ARE AN OFF LIMITS DIVISION! THE LAKE IS OFF LIMITS THE WEEK OF THE EVENT FROM MONDAY AM AT 12:01 AM UNTIL THE BREAK OF DAY ON THE FRIDAY BEFORE THE EVENT. THIS MEANS NOT ON THE LAKE FOR ANY REASON.

So excited to kick off the 2016 season on Lake Keowee. We will be fishing out of Gap Hill landing and just as an fyi you may want to consider using Mile Creek Landing within eye shot of Gap Hill. Please remember to come into the store and get a drink as Rocky has always been a huge supporter of Fishers of men SC upstate. Don't forget to pay your ramp fee as well.

Our Friday night meeting will be at The Mill Church in Pickens SC. Address for the meeting is 158 Woodrow St. Pickens SC 29671. You can map quest the address if you need help getting there. We will start registration promptly at 6 PM and dinner will start at 6:30 PM. We ask that you be patient with us as always the first event takes much more registration time than any other event. WE HAVE TO HAVE ALL RELEASES ETC. DONE BEFORE THE SEASONS FISHING BEGINS. The event will be a 5K guarantee for first for those that attend the Friday night meeting.
