I don't go to Jocassee much, but as stated in an earlier topic, I want to try to catch a Trout. So I went today, Sat 2/26 and it was a nice clear day, low 60's and no wind so I thought it would be crowded at the ramp. When I launched at 8:30am, there were three trucks at the ramp. I fished Laurel Fork, Bear Creek and the Toxaway River around the "S" before the flat in the back, then back out toward main lake. I mostly drifted shiners and watched the graph. I graphed virtually nothing and caught less than nothing. The lake is LOW, about 18' low, and the water temp was 51-52. When I got back to the ramp at 3:30pm, there was a grand total of seven trucks. So I'm guessing the Jocassee crowd knew that fishing wasn't going to be good, so someone please clue me in as to why???

Cant answer why no one was fishing (i wouldnt complain about it). but if youre after trout I would stay in the main basin of the lake near the dam and bluffs. or if you want to fish in the creek arms go around the outflow of bad creek reservoir.
