got out about 1130 this am...flipped, pitched and skipped docks anywhere from half way back to the ends of coves....used a black and blue jig with a bright blue net bait creature on it....first bite in about 6 ft of water, all the others in less than 5.....hung 6, and never got one in the boat....forgot to trim the hook guard off of the jig, but was using a new 7 ft heavy rod that i wasnt used to....water was crystal clear most of the places, and has dropped to about 80 to 82 in most places too...found out by mistake today that an old ambassador 5500c is the easist reel to skip a jig with...i have always used low profile reels for this, but never again...top water and spinnerbaits had no results....having surgery on my left hand on monday, so will prob be out of the loop for a few weeks
