CM, do you know of a way to temporarily bypass the trailer brakes on a RangerTrail trailer. I don't tow my boat often since it's really my Dad's boat and he keeps it docked in the water. I have figured out that the main problem is in the wiring on my truck. The rev lite wire on my recpt has no power. However, isn't there a way to disable the brakes for backing when needed. It's only a problem when I have to back up an incline or on level ground.

A quick fix would be to tap into the running lights wire and when backing turn on the your parking lights this will enenergize the back up solenoid. The real fix is to have your truck wired for the 5 wire system. CM
