Really cold start to the year with only 31 teams showing up to fish and only 10 teams saying they had a limit. (a small limit) There was one good sack but everyone else complained about small bass, or no bass. However, there were a few 3 pounders, two 4 pounders, and one over 6 pounds that were weighed in. Results as follows:

1st place... Green / Green with 16.28 pounds. (They had a 4 and a 6)
2nd place... Cash / Cash with 10.91 pounds
3rd place... Jennings / Jennings with 9.14 pounds
BIG BASS went to the Green team with a largemouth weighing 6.53 pounds.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to fish and I hope to see you guys again in two weeks when we have another OPEN. This one on Lake Hartwell. I'll post later.

I also want to point out the importance of wearing your life jackets. I preached about this Sat before blast off and later learned that two different participants had accidents on the water during the event. No serious injuries but one really scary ride when a lower unit hit something and turned the boat for 360 degrees.... and another where an angler fell into the lake Sat morning.

BE SAFE EVERYONE.. Doesn't take but a minute to save a life. Wear It!
