Great turnout for the tournament with 57 teams out trying to catch bass. It was a tough day on the water with the cold wind that kicked butt all day long. However, a few of the guys had them figured out. The first place team went home with over $2400 with the 1st place finish and busting both side pots. (WTG guys) There were only 21 limits weighed in and only 7 sacks over 10 pounds. We had one of those over 10 sacks with 12.26 and caught our fish on jerk baits, soft plastics, and pig and trailer. RESULTS as follows:
1st Place... Cash / Cash with 19.43 pounds
2nd Place... Rhodes / Rhodes with 17.32 pounds
3rd Place... Freeze / Thompson with 13.09 pounds
BIG BASS... Cash with two over 6 lbs. Biggest was 6.99 lbs (7 pounds)
Thanks to everyone for coming out and fighting the cold and wind with us. I took in another 30 members this Saturday and that takes the total up to 126 after two CLOSED events. Thanks again because all of that membership money goes toward the Championship at the end of the year.
Hope to see all of you guys in two weeks at Calhoune State Park on Lake Russell. Don't hesitate to get in touch with me if you have questions about club.
