I realized their main concern is drinking water and selling permits, but can we as a group encourage the powers that be to stock, plant and place structure to improve the fishing on Lake Bowen. Let's face it, it is not as good as could be. I've sent numerous email to Warden Bobo without a reply. What are you thoughts?

GOOD LUCK GETTING A RESPONSE FROM ANYONE OTHER THAN THE STANDARD "THIS IS A WATERSHED--NOT A FISHING LAKE." IT'S NOT JIMMY'S FAULT-- THATS SPBG WTR WKS. BUT I WILL GIVE YOU SOME POSITIVE NEWS. I'VE LIVED ON THIS LAKE FOR 10 YEARS-- THIS PAST WEEKEND IS THE LEAST AMOUNT OF JET SKI AND SKI BOAT TRAFFIC THIS CLOSE TO MEMORIAL DAY THAT I'VE SEEN SINCE I'VE BEEN HERE. SATURDAY IT WAS LIKE A GHOST TOWN OUTSIDE OF THE PONTOONS. IT WAS UNREAL. GAS PRICES ARE KILLIN THE JET SKI'S ALSO. JIMMY ALSO SAID THEY AREN'T SELLING HALF AS MANY PERMITS FOR 'EM THIS YEAR AS USUAL... DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU-- BUT TO ME THAT SPELLS LESS TRAFIC AND BETTER FISHING. I'M ALL FOR THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

I agree Woolybooger.
I have been noticing less traffic myself especially during the week.
As far as the fishing I have caught more and larger bass this year except at the tournaments. The fish have looked healthier than any I have caught at Murray or Greenwood and it didn't take 60 bucks of gas in the truck to get there. I'm like everyone else I always want better but its a shame it took high gas prices to make me appreciate what we have. :thumbs_up:

Got to the ramp Fri. 05/23 evening. Surprise, starter has gone out. Time for a new one. Loaded it back up and came home. Hope to have the motor back up soon.
