Fished about 5 hrs friday and was able to put 8 out of 9 in the boat, caught 1 near dam and rest up river, all on cranks, water 3 feet down and 83 deg. Tried today but must have got jinxed by putting the 8 in the freezer on friday. Surely need some rain, the end of the nr9 ramp is getting close.

Until people start keeping every spotted bass that is caught, and throwing every largemouth back lake bowen will never put out as many big sacks of fish that this lake is known for doing. Sure there will be good bags of fish here and there. But if you can remember this lake has put out several bags over 15lbs in one tx time and time again. Not so in the last two years as the spot population has grown. So if you care about this great largemouth fishery help it out and KEEP THE SPOTS !!!
