I have a 1988 Yamaha 175. It is cutting out on top end. I have had this problem in the past and replaced the fuel lines and the problem disappeared. I just replaced the fuel lines last summer and problem has already returned. It appears that the oil pump may be leaking oil out into the cowling area. Could a leaking oil pump contribute to my current issue? Other ideas?
Thanks

ok several things to check for -
recheck your lines to make sure your not sucking air causing the motor to starve for fuel Check your fuel filters to make sure they are not clogged.
If anything is leaking - fix it now. Don't take a chance of blowing your motor due to a bad gasket on your oil pump.
