I recently started jugging for catfish and have experimented with a couple different recipes and found a cheap but effective bait. I go buy a very cheap 24 pack of hotdogs and cut them in 1 inch pieces approximately 5-6 pieces per dog. I then get a coffee bucket with lid and dump a bottle of garlic salt over the pieces while shaking the bucket. I then put the lid on and flip it over a few times coating all of them. The garlic salt will stick good. Put the lid on and let it sit for about 3-7 days occasionally flipping the bucket. They work great on a 3/0 circle hooks and will stay put on it. The catfish are drawn to the salt and the stink. Good luck
