I am looking to buy a new unit for my bow. Does not need to have a gps since I have one on the console. (H-Bird 787c2i) . I was looking at the lowrance units, the x135/x136. Can anyone make a suggestion on a good solid unit to structure fish and drop-shot/spoon with? Thanks.

I have the x135 on my bow, to dang small for me. I have the Lowrance Lcx 111 10.5 inch color screen at cock pit and really wish I had a larger color screen at bow. Everyone I talk to says the x135 is a super good unit, I just have a hard time seeing it, probably just me though. I will be putting a color unit up front in the near future.

the x135 is great & you can see your jigs etc very easily with it. If you you need prices just let me know...

The x135 is a single freq transducer. The x136 has a dual trans. Wouldn't the dual be better for deep water fishing?
