26 boats fished Sat and Sunday with 14+ leading after day 1 and the same
angler came in with 25+ day 2 for a total of 39+ and the win! Congrats to Dan Richey! (25 lb sack is ALL good fish! 6.19 BF was in there too!)
Weights fell off by 8 lbs to 2nd place..(Phil, TX director, and Don, Asst tx director finished 2nd and 3rd..congrats to them also). I finished 8th with 19+, Krowbar and JB Wicker fished, maybe more forums members also...sorry if I forgot you)
My best fish came on PNJ but made bad decision day 2 to try and catch a limit
with a worm early then go for BF...took me all day to catch a 6+ limit when should have been hunting with the jig....13+ day1....
There was not much topwater either day and day 2 was tougher for most guys than day 1..(no breeze) but most, if not all, choice fish were on the jig. Sammy's, Spooks, PPoppers, Flukies etc did not compete for the 2 day totals..it was the JIG
and not many places produced either..fish were only located in a couple spots and that's it..
