Hadn't fished this lake in a long, long time. Lick and I got there about 6:20. Went riding the lake looking for places to fish...it's a TM only lake (or maybe it's 6 HP). Found a couple good spots but didn't have time to fish them well. Caught a mixed bag this morning. I caught a couple nice bass and a 6 lb carp. Lick caught a nice bass and a 3 lb catfish. Just tossing worms this morning. By 8 am it was hot. By 10 am it was REAL HOT. By 10:20 am we were back in the truck headed home.

Good going Billy D.
I have been fishing in two weeks and not going this coming week because I'm heading to Chattanooga TN Monday morning. When it cools some will try to go Bill.

We mostly just rode around the lake and fished here and there...looking for fish on the finder. Found a couple spots that look pretty good. I think I'll go back in the morning and fish them.
I caught the carp on my little spinny...8 lb test. Took me five minutes to get it to the boat. That was fun...not a bass, but fun anyhow...LOL
Did I mention that it was really hot out there! Water temp was descent though, about 83 and murky.

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of bait did you catch that carp on? I fish there some and see carp rolling alot in one particular place. I usually don't catch a load of bass there so when they slow down it would be nice to have a backup plan.

Caught the carp on a 7", green pumpkin zoom worm...LOL...obviously not fishing for the carp. I don't know if it's legal to fish for the carp in Thickety or not. Most of the small lakes around here are stocked with grass carp and it is illegal to fish for them.

Thicketty is loaded with common carp and they don't care how many you catch or keep. As far as I know they have never stocked grass carp in Thicketty.
