We made it to the lake around 10am. This was CricketKiller's first time to Lake Russell so we had to tour the Tourist Trap first .... really I think it was just the coffee talking to her
.
We dressed for 70's and sunny, but instead we got 50's and cloudy .... luckily we had on long pants and light jackets, but the wind cut right through that.
Finding fish was not that hard, just find the bait and cast around, they will be schooling soon enough. Fish could also be found on plastics while plowing, however bites were finicky and hard to get connected on. The hard part for us was finding places out of the wind so we didn't get sick. I think if we could have ran our pattern we would have boated a lot more than we did.
CricketKiller got her first Spot ...... a 2.5lb'er. It was later found swimming with some friends in our tummy that night right beside the french fries.
