Anyone been to Jocassee recently? If so, how were the bass biting? Looking to go early in the morning. Thanks and take care.

Any sort of top water over a blow down, hold on! saw a couple on the beds last week.

fished up there 4 times in april not much to report , saw very few fish on beds but did catch a few . including a 5 lbs spot on a fluke off a laydown and a couple of smalles off a rock flat.. byte was slow , for me any ways i think ill try it again in a few days .. i think the hotter it gets the better the fishing gets up there .. oh did catchem on a shaky head as well .

Sorry for the late report but it was a slow day on May 19. We ended up with 8 spots in the 2 to 2.5lb range and one 4 lb fish. All were caught on points and points only. No matter how good the banklines looked, we could not catch any fish there. Also caught 2 "small mouths" at the towers. Unfortunately they were not smallmouth bass but big ugly carp with a "small mouth". Good luck guys.

Well sorry bout that man, When i was up there a couple weeks ago i was getting atleast an explosion if not a hook up on every blow down i threw it over. I love that lake did you see any big ones cruising?

Saw some real big ones cruising at the waterfall at the Duke Power site but could not provoke them.
FYI, we kept a few of the spots to eat. Upon cleaning we noticed they were full of eggs.
